Good News and Bad News

          Okay, first the bad news.
All of us have sinned against the one true God. Because God is holy, just, good, and perfect, He must not leave our sin unpunished. We cannot make up for our sins with good works. We have sinned against the greatest being in the universe, and no amount of good works could possibly make up for this.
          Now for the good news.
Because God is gracious, merciful, loving, and kind, He has sent His very own Son Jesus Christ to take our punishment for us. The Holy Spirit of God placed Jesus (who has always been a part of God) into the womb of a virgin named Mary, and thus was He born into the world as a human (in effect, He was God in human flesh.) Once He reached adulthood, He taught people how to know God. Then He endured incredible pain, and gave His life on a cross in order to take the punishment for our sins. Three days later, His Father God raised Him from the dead, and gave Him an eternal place at His right hand in glory.
I know all of this to be true because of the Word of God, The Holy Bible. If you don't believe that the Bible is true and is the Word of God, just check the evidence at these web sites.

How do we know the Bible is really God's Word?

So, if you would like to have God's forgiveness and eternal love, then here are some things you should do. Believe that Jesus is the Son of the one true God. Believe in Jesus' virgin birth, death, burial, and resurrection. Confess your belief in these things aloud (with your mouth.) Confess aloud that you are a sinner, make the decision to repent of your sins, and invite Jesus to be your Savior and Master. Ask Him to help you truly turn from sinning and help you truly live for God. Have faith that Jesus Christ will see you through, for it is through faith that we are saved.
I'd be lying if I said that being a Christian didn't involve suffering. However, the hardships are temporary, but the rewards are eternal. Besides, the alternative is an eternity in torment (which is what we all deserve. Praise be to God for His wonderful grace and mercy in providing a way out!) No matter how tough things seem, rely on the Holy Spirit of God to give you the strength to keep going. As I said before, have faith that Jesus Christ will see you through, for it is through faith that we are saved. If you have true faith in the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, you will be saved for eternity (do make sure your faith is true, though.)
If you would like to learn more, I highly recommend the Word of God, the Holy Bible. Oh, and I certainly recommend a good, Bible-believing church. A church must be chosen carefully though, because not all of them do follow the Bible.
I myself once thought I was a good person, but oh how wrong I was. I sometimes gave to the poor, but overall, I was greedy and put myself first. Indeed, I cared little about serving God who gave me everything I have, including my life.
Praise be to God for showing me that I was wrong! I had been going to work every Sunday because I enjoyed the type of work I did on Sundays. I wasn't highly concerned over the fact that I was missing church as a result, and thus wasn't taking the time to worship and thank God for the wonderful things He has done for me. However, there was one Sunday where my bosses didn't schedule me to work. On that very Sunday, the Good Lord inspired me to walk to a church one mile from my home. The Pastor preached a very vivid sermon which God worked through to show me that I needed to truly turn to Christ in order to be saved! Over the next several months, God continued to work in me until finally, I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior. I then made myself unavailable to work on Sundays, joined a Bible-believing church, and have been working on drawing closer to Christ.
I truly do hope that many people who read this message will be awakened by the Holy Spirit of God, will come to know Jesus Christ as their Savior, and will find eternal life and happiness in God's kingdom. I also hope that God will be glorified in this way, and I will not be. I could not give this message without the strength God gives me. He deserves glory. I do not.
Oh, and one more thing. If you have enjoyed Dream Fathom, then please do not give me glory for the site. Instead, please give God glory. He is the one from whom I have received my creative talents. He is the one who deserves glory. God is good!
